8 Subsequent Event
BreathableBaby,
LLC (BreathableBaby) filed complaints against the
Company and Crown Crafts Infant Products, Inc.
(CCIP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company,
on January 11, 2012 in the U.S. District Court for the District
of Minnesota and on February 8, 2012 in the U.S. District Court
for the Central District of California alleging in each that
CCIPs mesh crib liner infringes BreathableBabys
patent rights relating to its air permeable infant bedding
technology. The Company believes that is has
meritorious defenses to the claims asserted in the complaints,
and the Company intends to defend itself vigorously against all
such claims.
Except
as set forth above, there are no subsequent events that require
disclosure pursuant to FASB ASC Topic 855.
